Bat makers now release next year's bats in late summer and fall, so most "2027" USSSA bats are already on shelves before the 2027 season starts. Here's what has come out so far, with the facts taken from each maker's own product pages. We left out anything we couldn't confirm there.
Easton Hype Fire (2027)
- Released: Aug 19, 2026 on Easton's site, and at retailers the next day (Easton Hype Fire FAQ).
- Drops: -10, -8 and -5, in 27 to 32 inch lengths.
- Barrel: 2 3/4 inch.
- Build: two-piece composite with a balanced swing weight.
- List price: $399.99 (Easton product page).
- Easton also lists a 2027 Hype Fire JBB -10 (junior big barrel) at $299.99 on its Hype Fire page.
Rawlings Icon (2027)
- Released: Sept 16, 2026 on Rawlings' site, and at retailers nationwide the next day (Rawlings 2027 Icon FAQ).
- Drops: -10, -8 and -5, in 27 to 32 inch lengths.
- Barrel: 2 3/4 inch.
- Build: two-piece composite. Rawlings says it strengthened the connection joint between the barrel and handle for 2027.
- List price: $399.99 (Rawlings product page).
Rawlings Icon JBB -11
- Drop: -11, a lighter option for younger hitters.
- Barrel: 2 3/4 inch.
- Build: one-piece composite, unlike the two-piece Icon.
- List price: $299.99 (Rawlings product page). Rawlings lists it as a 2027 model but doesn't give a separate release date.
Easton Dub Darkside
- Released: VIP sign-ups got early access on Sept 29, 2026, 24 hours before the public launch (Easton Dub Darkside FAQ).
- Drops: -10, -8 and -5, in 28 to 32 inch lengths.
- Barrel: 2 3/4 inch.
- Build: two-piece composite using Easton's double-barrel design (an outer barrel over an inner one) and a balanced swing weight.
- List price: $399.99 (Easton product page).
- The color-changing logo: some of the chrome graphics wear away with contact and show red underneath. Easton says this is cosmetic, doesn't affect performance or certification, and that USSSA has told umpires not to pull the bat just because the graphics change. The USSSA stamp, serial number and model name aren't part of the effect (Easton Dub Darkside page).
Louisville Slugger Supra (2027)
- Released: on sale now and marked "New" on Louisville Slugger's site. Louisville Slugger doesn't post a launch date there.
- Drops and lengths: -10 (27 to 31 inch), -8 (29 to 32 inch) and -5 (30 to 32 inch).
- Barrel: 2 3/4 inch.
- Build: two-piece composite, with a composite barrel and handle and a balanced swing weight.
- List price: $399.95 for each drop (-10, -8, -5).

How to choose
- Check your league first. USSSA bats are for USSSA and most travel ball. Little League says non-wood bats in its Majors division and below must carry the USA Baseball mark, and that "all BPF – 1.15 bats are prohibited" (Little League bat rules). See what each league allows on BatRules.
- Look for the USSSA stamp on the taper. For big-barrel (2 5/8" or 2 3/4") bats at 14U and below, USSSA requires its permanent mark on the taper, from an approved USSSA bat licensee. Stickers or decals don't count (USSSA bat marks).
- Watch the drop at 12U and 14U. USSSA limits 14U bats to no lighter than a -5 (USSSA bat marks), so a -8 or -10 won't work there. Perfect Game doesn't allow -5 USSSA bats at 12U events (Perfect Game 12U rules). Check your event's rules on the USSSA and Perfect Game pages.
- Our suggestion: pick the drop your player can swing under control for a whole game. A heavier bat that slows the swing down doesn't help, and a $400 bat isn't a must for a young hitter.
